Job Description

The National In-store Promotions Communications Program Manager will develop and implement complex, National promotional in-store marketing communications for all retail channels of distribution. The position requires an understanding of business and branding objectives to ensure appropriateness, correctness, and integration of in-store communications with other customer touchpoints.

The person will provide strategic and creative direction to partner retail agencies in the program development process and support the development of tactical communication materials. This includes cross-functional, detailed coordination with teams supporting the development and deployment of materials to stores.

Key areas of accountabilities include the following:

  • National promotions creative development and program management for all channels including multi-cultural
  • Promotional campaign integration, toolkit and seasonal strategy management
  • Promotional device and accessory pricing creative development and management
  • Promotional research and asset acquisition
  • General Agency and operational management

The ideal candidate will have:

  • BS/BA in Advertising, Communications, or Marketing.
  • Minimum 3 – 5 years progressive work experience in marketing and/or communications related fields.
  • Previous experience in retail communications, project management, and leading in-store advertising agency resources.
  • Familiarity and comfort level in working in a matrix-managed work environment.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills as well as solid, analytical, program solving and decision-making skills. Strong attention to detail a necessity.

The NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) Eligibility Center is looking for a tech person who can help out with our database management and website construction. The Eligibility Center is responsible for processing eligibility determinations for 25,000 student-athletes each year. We use a front-end registration process on our website (www.PlayNAIA.org) and a back-end database for maintaining files related to each student’s case. We are looking for someone to come on board in a seasonal capacity to help during our busy summer months, but who would possibly be able to fill the role on a permanent full-time basis after the summer. This person would need an html background and experience with database management (Filebound experience is a plus, but not necessary). The person in this position would be responsible for troubleshooting and correcting technical/programming errors that occur on the website side as well as the database side.
